Welcome to Cafe Reichard, a charming café nestled at Unter Fettenhennen 11, 50667 Koln, Germany. This delightful spot offers more than just a place to savor delicious breakfast and pastries; it’s an experience wrapped in opulent design and rich flavors. With its prime location directly across from the iconic Cologne Cathedral, it draws both eager tourists and knowledgeable locals alike.

Step inside, and you'll be enchanted by the incredibly inviting atmosphere. The dining area boasts brightness and pristine decor, accentuated by exceptional lighting fixtures, creating a perfect backdrop for your meal. The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, making it an ideal stop for those looking to unwind and indulge. As Noland Taylor beautifully puts it, it’s "one of my favorite restaurants in all of Europe," thanks to its well-trained wait staff and meticulous attention to detail in the dining experience.

Cafe Reichard excels in creating culinary delights that captivate the senses. Guests rave about the freshly baked cakes and robust coffee, which are not only flavorful but also beautifully presented. G “AG” Av echoed a sentiment many share, highlighting the excellence of the cakes and coffee, though noting that the service could be warmer. It’s an important reminder that while the food dazzles, the service experience varies.

For breakfast, many have found the atmosphere perfect for starting the day. Nicole Paulette describes her discovery of the restaurant as a delightful surprise, as she found herself enchanted by its cozy decor. She appreciated the reasonable prices, which allow you to choose from a wide selection of drinks, pastries, cakes, and breakfast options—making it easy to tailor your meal to whatever your heart desires. If you’re unsure of what to choose, take Daniel Dalgo’s advice and consider opting for the buffet; while pricier, it offers a broader selection to enhance your dining enjoyment.

Your morning could be spent enjoying a jam-filled croissant and perfectly cooked eggs while gazing at the breathtaking views of the cathedral, as anh lại experienced. Though she noted that service was just okay, the delicious cake more than made up for it, highlighting the essential role that quality food plays in creating a memorable café experience.

Whether you’re in search of that perfect cup of coffee, a sweet pastry to indulge your cravings, or simply a welcoming atmosphere to gather with friends and family, Cafe Reichard promises to deliver an experience that is vibrant, flavorful, and memorable. Dive into a world where delicious food and striking design meet right in the heart of Köln.

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Europe. Opulent interior and excellent service from well experienced wait staff. This restaurant is located in an optimal location and receives as many locals as it does eager tourists that are in the know. The dining room is bright and pristine with exceptional lighting fixtures and an interior design intended for a truly fine dining experience. The local patrons are rather well dressed for their visit, though tourists can be spotted wearing more leisure atire. The cakes and pastries were presented at a counter behind a case as we entered. This sealed the deal for us as we decided to be seated, and we then were faced with the most difficult decision of the day: which delectable serving of cake layered with sweet fruits would go best with our coffee and espresso. We were afforded plenty of time to enjoy our treat and to soak up the luxurious accommodation. This is a must on your travel itinerary! Be sure to visit the restroom before you leave, never thought I would mention this, but it is one of the most opulent and high tech that I have experienced.

Absolutely spotless and shiny — everything looked perfectly clean and well-maintained! The cake and coffee were excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Sadly, the service didn’t quite live up to the quality of the food; our server appeared a bit irritated and wasn’t as friendly as we had hoped.

We wanted to get breakfast in a nice place and this was the option. A bit busy as this is a hotel too and service was ok. Not bad but would have been nice some suggestions from them as this was our first time. Even though, we enjoyed the time and the experience. If possible, try the buffet instead. More expensive but in the end we thought that would have been a better option.

We walked in thinking it was just a look-and-buy café, but behind some cute clear doors was the actual restaurant—absolutely adorable inside. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and it’s located right across from the cathedral, making it a perfect stop while exploring the area. Prices were very reasonable, with a wide selection of drinks, coffees, cakes, pastries, and breakfast options. We went for breakfast and loved it—just a simple city breakfast with fresh orange juice, a croissant, and a roll with spread, but it was all delicious. The staff was very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much, we’re planning to come back tomorrow to grab a cake before leaving the city!
